We are a national charity encouraging and supporting vegans and a vegan lifestyle by creating a vibrant, visible, and influential community, and by providing resources and information.
Our two Vegan Challenges are designed to set you on a pathway to a kinder, healthier and more planet-friendly lifestyle. Sign up is FREE and you’ll receive daily emails with EASY meal plans and delicious recipes, tips on eating out, nutritional info, a helpful list of what to shop for and lots more! The challenge offers a supportive, private Facebook group and for some inspiration, we introduce you to some Kiwi vegan champs. Add some Islander flavour to your cooking and choose our Pasifika Challenge to receive delicious recipes from everyday Pasifika vegans.
The Christchurch Vegan Society (Te Rōpū Whēkana o Ōtautahi)
We provide information and activities to support and grow our local vegan community!
We run regular events like the Vegan Expo, Vegan Camp, Vegan Night Mākete, Vegan Ball, pot lucks, talks, information stalls, and youth, LGBTQIA+, and family activities. We also run Vegan Angels - delivering meal kits and baking in times of need and offering grocery pick-ups for those isolating.
